Located in the heart of the Grenadines, Union Island has become the new kitesurfing heaven of the Caribbean, with two of the main kitesurfing spots located right on the island.
We chose Union Island as the base for our kitesurfing school because of the uniqueness of its spots and the proximity to the other Grenadine islands.
Only a 15 minute boat ride from the Tobago Cays and Mayreau, Union Island is a practical base for travelers who want to spend time in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
There are only two small villages on Union Island: Clifton, the main town, and Ashton.

Most of the attractions are concentrated around Clifton, which has small restaurants and bars for an easy evening after a sunny day on the water.
Surrounded by over a dozen charming beaches, Union Island is a strong holiday destination for kitesurfers and for travelers who want to relax in beautiful surroundings.

You basically want to fly to Barbados to St Lucia first and then take a small inter island flight from these islands directly to Union Island with SVGAIR.
Wind And Weather
The air temperature is 30°C all year long and the water temperature is 28°C, so no need to bring a wetsuit.
It is mainly sunny every day during the Trade wind season mentioned above.
