Palm Island sits about one mile from Union Island, with palm-covered beaches, clear water and reef surrounding the island. It has long been one of the Grenadines’ private-island references, and it remains an important landmark for guests planning where to stay, kite and explore around Union Island.
At the moment, Palm Island Resort is closed, so resort stays, day access, dining, spa and other amenities must be confirmed before planning around them. For current trips, most guests should stay on Union Island, use Union Island’s travel connections, and ask us about realistic nearby boat options.

Palm Island is not a beginner kitesurfing spot. Launching can be tricky, the lagoon can be choppy, and the real draw is the outer reef wave. When conditions line up, advanced riders can find some of the best wave riding in the Grenadines, but this is a spot to approach with local advice, good judgement and the right support.

While Palm Island Resort is closed, Mer et Sel Villa & Suites is the current premium stay option we recommend for guests who want comfort, privacy and easy access to the kite center. You stay on Union Island, close to local restaurants and the main JT Pro Center spot, while still being a short boat ride from nearby Grenadines kite and excursion spots.
It is a better fit for most kite and wing guests right now: current availability can be confirmed by inquiry, lessons and gear can be arranged with the same trip, and boat days can be planned around weather, rider level and sea conditions.
