GETTING HERE – FLIGHTS TO UNION ISLAND
Our Kitesurf Center is located in the South Caribbean on Union Island (St.Vincent and the Grenadines).
Unspoilt by the mass tourism, you will not find any info on how to get here using your traditional flight search engine even though Union Island has its own airport.

Option 1 - First Fly To Barbados (BGI)
The easiest and only direct way to fly to Union Island is to fly to Barbados which has daily connections to Union Island and the Grenadines.
Most of the major airlines are flying to Barbados (BGI), you can use search engines like google flights to find the flights that will suit you best.
This option is the most direct but the Barbados to Union island flight is more expensive. See the second option below for a cheaper alternative from the usa or Canada.
Then Fly from Barbados to Union Island
Ask them directly about the connection time to make sure you can catch the Barbados to Union island flight after your main flight has landed.
Once arrived on Barbados you will need to take a final very short connecting flight to Union Island with SVG AIR : www.flysvgair.com by booking your flight online directly with the airline. The price is around 550 us$ per return flight.
(make sure it shows the US$ currency as it sometimes shows the EC$ currency with only the $ sign and can be confusing on the website (1us$ = 2.67ec$)
If there are not availability on the website do not hesitate to email svgair directly on the website, they often have seats that are not showing on the booking system.
Make sure to contact the small airline for flight availability before getting you main flight.
Option 2 Fly to St Vincent Airport (SVD)
Fly to St Vincent SVD airport easily from the USA or Canada, you can find flights on Google Flights.
Overnight in St Vincent
Overnight in St Vincent by booking a airbnb or hotel on booking.com near the airport. A few good hotels near Villa area.
Then Fly from St Vincent to Union Island the next morning
You can fly from St.Vincent to Union island with SVG AIR: www.flysvgair.com A one way 20 minutes short flight from St Vincent to Union Island will cost you around 80 us$. Board Bags will be at an extra fee.
The flights usually leave in the morning allowing you to enjoiy your first day on Union island.
You can also take one of the local Ferry to Union Island which cost around 40us$ per way but takes the whole day to get to Union island and you would miss a full day.
Traveling from FRANCE ?
You can easily fly to Barbados from France and follow the steps above.
Another option is to fly directly to the island of Martinique with any of the regular airlines and then take a private direct 1 hour flight from Martinique to Union Island. This is not a recommended option but more a last minute solution if nothing else is available.
Private flights are extremely limited with luggages.

Boardbags
There is no problem bringing your board bag aboard the Barbados to Union Island flight, the airline will charge you an extra fee for transportation. The planes are small so if your gear does not make it on your flight it will be on the next available flight. Avoid the fee and rent your Gear with us.
No visa required for most countries
A return or onward ticket is required by all visitors, as well as proof of accommodation.
Flight schedules
You must make sure there are flights available from Barbados to Union island before reserving your main flight to these islands.
The flight schedule tend to change so you should reserve your inter island flight first.
